Brazilian Master win 3-1 against IFA Allstars in Kolkata

The match promised much to the football loving people of Kolkata, but in the end the visit of the Brazilian Masters to the City of Joy will be remembers for chaos and little else. Football was played and the Brazilian Master won 3-1 against the IFA Allstars at the Saltlake Stadium.

There has been utter chaos at yesterday's practice session and especially thereafter in the media collecting their press passes. One hoped for a better organised event on match day, but the organisers continued to have their problems as the Brazilian Masters arrived over an hour late for their match with different rumours regarding the reason why such a delay.

Coming to the football. The Brazilian Masters showed their class though the team was made up of real FIFA World Cup winners like captain Carlos Dunga, Aldair, Bebeto and more plus local Brazilian footballers in Jose Ramirez Barreto, Roberto Mendes Silva (Beto), Hudson Lima and more...

The Brazilian Masters went ahead through a Beto goal from a Juninho pass before Bebeto doubled the lead which led him to do his famous baby celebration. The South Americans made it 3-0 after the break from a brilliant Dunga long-ranger before striker Dipendu Biswas reduced the deficit for the local IFA Allstars.

Colombian Rene Higuita came on late for the IFA Allstars and he did not disappoint as he twice made his famous 'scorpion kick' on the goal line amongst the cheer of the crowds. The Brazilian Masters won 3-1, but the game will be forgotten tomorrow...
